Job summary

Morson Talent is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader on a permanent basis in the UK. You will lead a skilled mechanical maintenance team, coordinating planned and reactive work with Operations, Planning and Procurement to ensure high standards and safety.

You will drive continuous improvement, manage maintenance records in CMMS, and oversee stores and contractor activities. A strong leadership background in manufacturing or process industries is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing or process industries.
• Experience planning preventive maintenance programmes.
• Strong CMMS experience and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a mechanical maintenance team.
• Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
• Coordinate reactive maintenance efficiently.
• Ensure work is carried out safely and to a high standard.
• Promote health, safety and environmental culture.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records.
• Oversee stores, parts and inventory levels.
• Manage contractors and ensure safe delivery of work.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
