MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
The job holder will be responsible for designing and manufacturing a wide range of subsea mechanical and hydraulic systems, from handheld diver tools to full-scale ROV systems.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create CAD manufacturing drawings following approved company procedures and policies.
- Utilize 3D SolidWorks proficiently for most design tasks.
- Develop hydraulic and fittings schematics with sufficient detail for customer approval and workshop fabrication.
- Maintain and control detailed project plans for builds, coordinating with internal teams, customers, and clients to ensure timely and within-budget delivery.
- Generate BoMs, parts lists, and assemblies for manufacturing according to company standards.
- Produce detailed Operations and Maintenance Manuals, including parts information.
- Conceptualize mechanical/hydraulic systems into cost-effective, profitable products with minimal guidance, ready for design review.
- Collaborate with suppliers to select cost-effective components meeting project budgets and lead times.
- Develop and maintain Product Cost Lists for quoting purposes.
- Witness and assess final build testing of new products.
- Perform other related tasks or duties as trained, instructed, and supervised, adhering to safety and business requirements.
- The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks, or duties, which they can be trained, instructed, and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications and certification:
- HND or Degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
Relevant work experience at a comparable level may substitute formal qualifications.
Full UK driving license required if the role involves driving a company vehicle (manual transmission).
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and structural engineering for subsea equipment.
- Subject matter expert in relevant fields.
Skills & Competencies:
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Project planning skills.
- Cost control expertise.
Experience:
- Over 4 years of industry experience, including extensive mechanical and hydraulic engineering.
- Experience in ROV tooling and ROV systems design.
- Background in technical documentation preparation and publication.

- Hands-on approach.
- Willingness to engage actively and assist as needed.
