Job summary

Servotest Testing Systems in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to produce manufacturing packages for motion simulation systems, including GA drawings, detail drawings, BoMs, and data entry into the MRP system.

You will act as Lead Engineer, coordinating with project and supply chain teams, mentoring a Junior Designer, and ensuring designs meet Machinery and PED directives while maintaining budgets.

Qualifications

• HND or degree qualified with 5+ years hydraulic/pneumatic design.
• Experience with heavy plant machinery, welded structures, or pipework.
• Excellent attention to detail and data management.
• Familiar with BS 8888 standards and GD&T.
• Willing to travel globally.

Responsibilities

• Design assemblies for motion control simulation systems.
• Create GA and detailed manufacturing drawings and BoMs.
• Ensure designs meet Machinery and PED directives.
• Lead project activity, coordinate with stakeholders and supply chain.
• Enter BoMs into the MRP system and maintain design records.
• Prepare assembly procedures and test rig verification hardware.
• Support continuous improvement and design guidelines upkeep.
