Job summary

Design for Manufacture Resourcing (DFM-R) Limited in Telford seeks a Senior Test Engineer (Hydraulics) to lead hydraulic testing and integration with mechanical, electrical and control systems on complex material-handling equipment. The role involves testing complete machines, sub-systems, and in-field, offshore and on-board vessel testing as projects require.

Qualifications

10 years in a similar role with substantial hands-on hydraulic testing, setting-to-work and fault-finding experience.
Offshore equipment experience and interpretation of DNV, LR, ABS and BV code requirements for testing and acceptance.

Responsibilities

Write test plans, setting-to-work procedures and specifications with acceptance criteria.
Coordinate testing with project delivery, resources and specialist support.
Carry out hydraulic flushing, cleanliness checks, pressure and leak testing to approved procedures.
Check mechanical assembly, alignment, fastenings and operating readiness against drawings and specifications.
Lead setting-to-work, functional and performance testing of hydraulic equipment and integrated systems.
Investigate faults across hydraulic, mechanical and electrical/control interfaces; record findings and coordinate corrective action.
