Job summary

PWS Technical Services (UK) Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the delivery of innovative design packages for a major client. The role requires developing concepts, detailed designs and production-ready drawings while coordinating with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

The successful candidate will be a mechanical engineering degree holder with strong CAD capability who can work independently within a fast-paced environment and manage project timescales.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• Ability to deliver working, manufacturable designs balancing functionality, design integrity, manufacturability and cost.
• Strong communication and organisational skills to support project goals.
• Experience with standard industry design packages.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design a wide range of bespoke products, systems and solutions ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
• Develop concepts and detailed designs supporting production of definition drawings.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to meet program, cost and quality targets.
• Lead by example on mechanical discipline and manage project timescales.
• Prepare engineering calculations in support of design schemes.
• Present designs at review meetings and contribute to R&D activities.
