Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical engineering input across missile design projects in the Sparkworks area. You will shape early development with rapid prototyping and own mechanical decisions within multidisciplinary teams.

The role involves tackling challenging engineering problems, developing concept designs with limited information, and contributing to ongoing research topics with structured skills development.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Mechanical Design incl. structural and thermal aspects.
• Ability to develop concept designs from limited info and changing requirements.
• Wider knowledge of related areas (Electronic Packaging, Low Observability) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering input across missile design projects.
• Shape development directions by proposing ideas and securing funding for future topics.
