Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Lead Controls and Automation Engineer to deliver high‑reliability control systems for Marine, Offshore and Naval projects.

You will lead a multi‑disciplinary team, design, implement and test solutions to meet classification society requirements, and provide technical interface to customers and suppliers. The role focuses on PLC architecture, HMI, networking, IEC 61131-3 languages, FAT, and commissioning with occasional vessel visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Control Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and integrating control & automation project solutions.
• Good understanding of PLC programming.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet.

Responsibilities

• Deliver control system projects for Marine, Offshore and Naval applications from design to FAT.
• Provide technical interface to customers, classification societies, and suppliers.
• Produce design, installation and test documentation, maintaining it through the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Drawing Office to generate wiring diagrams and interface schedules.
• Perform functional design of HMI, PLC architecture, networks, and communications interfaces.
• Write PLC software using IEC 61131-3 languages (LD, FBD, ST, IL, SFC).
• Plan and progress design and test activities to meet delivery dates.
• Support commissioning and sea-trials, including on-site visits when required.
