Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Lead Controls & Automation Engineer to deliver marine, offshore and naval control system projects. You will design, implement and test automation solutions, produce documentation, and liaise with customers and classification societies.

The role involves onsite work, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and occasional vessel visits for commissioning and testing.

Qualifications

A relevant degree in Electrical, Electronics or Industrial Control Systems Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience designing and integrating control & automation project solutions.
Good understanding of PLC programming.
Knowledge of Modbus, OPC-UA, Profibus, Profinet or similar.
Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

Deliver control system projects for Marine, Offshore and Naval applications.
Design, implement and test Controls & Automation Systems to meet customer and classification society requirements.
Produce design, installation and test documentation; maintain it throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with drawing office to produce electrical diagrams and schedules.
Support FAT, commissioning and sea-trials activities; liaise with customers and suppliers.
