Job summary

Dr. Oetker in Leyland is seeking a Maintenance Shift Supervisor to lead the on-site maintenance team, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient support across production.

You will oversee shift engineering standards, manage breakdowns, and ensure planned maintenance completes to a high standard with clear follow-up to permanent resolution. The role requires time-served engineering experience in manufacturing and strong leadership on shift, with CMMS/SAP PM familiarity and a focus on safety, quality

Qualifications

• Time-served multi-skilled engineer or equivalent engineering background.
• Experience leading, coordinating or mentoring engineering teams on shift.
• Working knowledge of CMMS; SAP PM experience desirable.
• Ability to make clear decisions under pressure balancing safety, quality, cost and priorities.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate shift maintenance activities to support safe, legal and quality-compliant production.
• Ensure breakdowns, planned maintenance, changeovers and engineering interventions are completed effectively and communicated across shifts.
• Drive completion of planned maintenance and statutory checks to the required standard with proper follow-up to permanent resolution.
• Maintain high engineering standards including housekeeping, tool control and spares usage.
• Coach and hold engineers accountable for safe working and quality of work orders.
