Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is assisting a specialist metals manufacturer in relocating a Lead Maintenance Engineer to the Scottish Highlands. Salary £60,000–£64,000 plus a relocation package, company bonus, specialist training, enhanced pension and health care.

You will lead the day-to-day maintenance across the site, coordinating priorities, engineering resources and departmental requirements to keep plant and equipment safe, reliable and available for production.

Qualifications

• Degree or similar in engineering
• Mechanically or electrically biased expertise
• Hands on experience using CMMS systems
• Background working in industrial or manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and effective maintenance delivery across all areas of the site
• Set priorities for planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance, coordinating resources accordingly
• Coordinate engineering, craft and apprentice resources across departments
• Monitor weekly maintenance schedules, work quality, CMMS compliance and key performance measures
• Oversee safety measures and ensure maintenance personnel are suitably trained and competent for their roles
• (Optional) Manage contractor oversight during shutdowns and installations
