Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment seeks an Electrical Engineer to maintain site electrical systems at a heavy industrial smelter in the Scottish Highlands. You will work on transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors and substations, driving reliability and asset improvements.

Relocation support is provided; the role features an attractive package and a 4-day work week with a Friday half-day, in a long-standing, renewable-powered operation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Background working in Industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise for site electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Support electrical reliability, maintenance and asset improvement projects.
• Working on transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors, VSDs, substations and industrial power systems.
• Support plant breakdowns and shutdowns.
• Monday to Thursday, 7:30 – 5, Friday, 7:30 – 12:30.

Are you an Electrical Engineer, with a background in heavy industry, looking to relocate to the picturesque Scottish Highlands, in a role that offers a lucrative benefits package on top of an excellent salary?

The key part of this role will be providing maintenance for electrical systems across the smelter. You will work with transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors, VSDs, substations and industrial power systems. Alongside this you will be providing support for electrical safety, reliability and asset improvement initiatives.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, with a background in an industrial environment, who is looking to relocate to the Scottish Highlands.
