Lockheed Martin in Ampthill, United Kingdom, seeks an experienced Lead Machining Manufacturing Engineer to guide CNC machining strategy and advanced tooling initiatives. You will own the technology roadmap, drive improvements in cycle time, yield, and quality, and lead a team of engineers and technicians across design, production and quality functions.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in CNC manufacturing or precision machining.
• Mastery of 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming and processes.
• Expert-level proficiency in HyperMill.

Responsabilidades

• Lead CNC machining strategy development across the operations engineering department.
• Develop and improve functional operating processes and incorporate into governing processes.
• Own and develop the technology roadmap for machining for the department.
• Develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines.
• Design and implement advanced fixturing and work holding solutions.
• Select and optimize cutting tools and machining parameters.
• Establish best practices for machining operations and process standardisation.
• Support NPI through DFM.
• Troubleshoot complex machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality to meet tolerances and inspection requirements.
• Produce manufacturing documentation and setup sheets.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives.
