Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking an Engineering Machining Manager near Wolverhampton to lead a ~30-strong engineering team in a fast-paced SME aerospace/industrial environment. The role focuses on day-to-day operational efficiency, strong engineering capability, and continuous improvement.

You will oversee CNC grinding/machining operations, support throughput, delivery, quality and NPI, and work closely with the CEO. Degree-qualified engineers with proven leadership in precision manufacturing are ideal.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have a degree or equivalent, with practical engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Experience leading engineering/manufacturing teams in precision machining environments.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and best-practice manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a ~30-person team on day-to-day operations and efficiency.
• Collaborate with CEO and cross-functional teams to ensure throughput and delivery.
• Develop and deploy capable manufacturing processes, including NPI/NPD.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100 quality procedures and documentation.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress across production lines.
