Job summary

Northenden Community School is seeking a Lead Lunchtime Supervisor to lead the lunchtime team and supervise the dining hall and playground, ensuring a safe, calm and engaging environment for pupils during the lunch break.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a school or childcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents.
• Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm, patient and consistent approach to student discipline.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead by example.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate (or willingness to undertake training).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a lunchtime team, delegating duties and daily rotas.
• Provide training and guidance on school policies, behaviour management and safeguarding procedures.
• Monitor performance, give feedback and run regular team meetings.
