Job summary

Elect Capital is transforming how SMEs access funding in the UK. We’re seeking a Lead Lending Operations Analyst to own the post-approval stage of our lending pipeline, leading a team of analysts responsible for documentation, condition clearing, and disbursement readiness.

You will improve processes, monitor turnaround times, and collaborate with Underwriting, Credit and Compliance to move deals quickly and accurately, while developing the team for scale.

Qualifications

• SME or commercial lending post-approval experience.
• People management or team lead experience in lending/fintech environment.
• Strong knowledge of loan documentation, conditions precedent, and disbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Lending Operations Analysts, setting performance standards and workload management.
• Own the post-underwriting workflow: loan documentation prep, condition clearing, compliance sign-off, disbursement readiness.
• Monitor turnaround times and pipeline throughput; identify and resolve bottlenecks between underwriting approval and funding.
• Escalate complex or delayed cases; liaise with Underwriting, Credit, and Compliance teams.
• Build and refine SOPs to improve accuracy, consistency, and speed across prepping function.
• Report on team performance and pipeline health to senior leadership.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training as the team scales.
