Job summary

Apple Service Engineering (ASE) seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager specializing in Kubernetes to lead a team of SREs responsible for mission-critical infrastructure used by thousands of developers worldwide.

You will drive technical direction, own service-level objectives, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions at Apple’s scale in London.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership in Kubernetes and SRE with hands-on production software experience.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale Unix-based infrastructure as a service.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.
• Background in cloud architectures and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of 6-8 senior Site Reliability Engineers.
• Set technical direction and roadmaps for the team's owned platforms/services.
• Own SLOs/SLIs and incident budgets; drive accountability when budgets exceed limits.
• Participate in on-call rotation and improve the on-call experience for the team.
