Job summary

The Darrington is a busy food-led pub and hotel in the Yorkshire countryside, operated by Greene King. We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager or Head Chef to take ownership of the kitchen, lead the team and drive high standards for food quality, safety and guest experience.

You will develop processes, manage stock and costs, and work closely with management to maximise opportunities across the pub, hotel and events.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a busy kitchen in a pub/hotel environment.
• Able to recruit, train and develop kitchen staff.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, allergens and HACCP/compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the kitchen and lead from the front.
• Build and develop a strong kitchen team as recruitment continues.
• Collaborate with the Kitchen Team Leader and management to run a well-organised operation.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
