Job summary

AND Digital Limited is seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer for a 12 Month FTC. You will lead the design, development and operation of cloud-native services across AWS and Kubernetes, shaping engineering standards and delivery practices.

This role involves technical leadership across the full software lifecycle and collaboration with architects, product teams and other stakeholders. You will drive high standards in code quality, testing, monitoring and observability, champion CI/CD

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Java development experience.
• Spring Boot RESTful APIs and backend services experience.
• Designing and developing microservices and event-driven solutions.
• Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• AWS cloud services and cloud-native development.
• Terraform / IaC experience.
• CI/CD tooling and DevOps practices.
• Monitoring/observability tools (e.g., Grafana).
• Automated testing and engineering quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of robust, scalable Java services and APIs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to developers.
• Design and develop cloud-native microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Deploy, operate and support applications across AWS and Kubernetes.
