Qualifications

• Hands-on Java development with Spring Boot in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop modular, scalable services using Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate enterprise apps with WebLogic Server and CAS SDK.
• Develop secure, cloud-based solutions on AWS and containerised environments.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and end-to-end system integration.
• Champion TDD, CI/CD, continuous testing and coding standards.
• Support automated functional and non-functional testing.
• Work in Scrum/Agile, with planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with technical leads, infrastructure teams and test automation engineers.
• Ensure experience aligns with security clearance requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a high-performing technology team in Newcastle, working on secure, enterprise-scale solutions for a leading client.

Due to the nature of the work, successful candidates will need to undergo Security Clearance. This requires 5+ years of continuous UK residence, with no period of 6 months or more spent outside the UK during that time. This includes either a single 6-month absence or multiple trips totalling 6 months or more.

What You'll Do

• Develop modular, scalable services using Java (JDK 11+) and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate enterprise applications using WebLogic Server and CAS SDK.
• Develop secure, cloud-based solutions using platforms such as AWS and containerisation.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and end-to-end system integration.
