Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking experienced Java Developers to join our technology teams in Newcastle, delivering enterprise-scale solutions in client environments. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week in the office, and some client travel may be required.

You will work in an Agile engineering team, designing, developing and delivering secure, scalable applications and services, including microservices built with Java and Spring Boot.

Qualifications

• Experience with microservices and enterprise application development.
• Proficient in TDD/BDD and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling and processes.
• Experience delivering cloud-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Developing applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot
• Supporting the design and integration of microservice-based solutions
• Applying engineering best practices including TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Testing
• Participating in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Collaborating with developers, technical leads, test automation engineers, cloud and infrastructure teams
• Supporting the delivery of secure and scalable cloud-based solutions
• Mentoring and supporting the development of junior engineers where appropriate

Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in office

We’re looking for experienced Java Developers to join our technology teams in Newcastle, working on enterprise-scale solutions across complex and interesting client environments.

The majority of work is delivered locally from **Newcastle, **with a hybrid requirement of 3 days per week onsite. Some client travel may be required, but this is the exception.

The Role
