Based from our St Neots office, this IT Infrastructure Team Lead role combines hands‑on engineering with people leadership to deliver and support secure systems across customer contracts.

You’ll line‑manage a small team of IT Infrastructure Engineers, prioritise work against customer requirements, risks and security

Qualifications

Current UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
Experience delivering IT infrastructure within defence or secure environments.
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and core domain services knowledge.
Good networking knowledge (firewalls, routers, switches).
Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V).
Strong incident troubleshooting and 3rd line support capability.

Responsibilities

Lead a small team of IT Infrastructure Engineers and provide technical direction.
Own technical delivery across customer projects and services.
Prioritise activity against risk, resource and customer requirements.
Lead resolution of complex infrastructure, hardware, software and networking issues.
Provide technical escalation and 3rd line support.
Contribute to design, integration, implementation and maintenance of secure IT systems.
Monitor and maintain critical systems and networks.
Mentor engineers and promote best engineering practices.
