Job summary

UKRI's Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge seeks a talented researcher for a fixed-term 6-month position to lead projects on human naïve pluripotency. You will report to Dr Marta Shahbazi and contribute to independent research while disseminating results.

Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant biological subject.
  • Significant postdoctoral research experience in human embryonic stem cells and pluripotency.
  • Experience with human embryonic stem cell culture, gene expression analysis and bioinformatics.
  • Lab organisation skills and ability to train others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects within the programme on human naïve pluripotency.
  • Conduct research, analyse data and prepare publications.
  • Train students and postdocs and undertake line management where appropriate.
  • Disseminate research results at meetings and conferences.
  • Contribute to lab management, equipment and purchasing decisions.
