Job summary

CRUK Manchester Institute is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the Stem Cell Biology group led by Prof Georges Lacaud. The project focuses on human T-cell development from pluripotent stem cells to improve cellular immunotherapy and transplantation options.

You will design and execute experiments using models of human blood and immune development, integrating molecular, cellular and high-throughput approaches, with a multidisciplinary team to generate mechanistic insights.

Qualifications

• PhD in stem cell biology, developmental biology, haematology, immunology or related field.
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular or cellular experimentation.
• Strong experimental design, data interpretation and scientific communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and use experimental models of human blood and immune development to study pro-T-cell progenitors.
• Integrate cellular, molecular and high-throughput screening with single-cell profiling and computational analysis.
