Job summary

The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge is seeking an Investigator Scientist on maternity cover to lead an ongoing project focused on converting human embryonic stem cells into the naïve state. The role is fixed-term for 6 months with responsibilities spanning experimental design, data interpretation and collaboration across the group.

Applicants should hold a PhD in stem cell biology or a related field and have substantial experience with human embryonic stem cells, gene regulation

Qualifications

This role requires a PhD in stem cell biology, developmental biology, or a closely related field.
Significant experience working with human embryonic stem cells is essential.
Desirable experience includes gene regulation and transcriptomics.
A strong track record of research output and independence.
Demonstrated commitment, originality, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

Complete an ongoing project on the mechanisms for converting human embryonic stem cells into the naïve state.
Collaborate with lab members and contribute to project planning and execution.
