Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an Estimating Manager in Glasgow to lead the development of robust cost plans and estimates for major UK infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with project teams, drive tender pricing, and ensure governance-aligned outputs across a busy portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified in engineering, construction, quantity surveying or related discipline.
• Experience preparing project estimates and cost plans in infra settings.
• Strong understanding of engineering and construction principles.
• Commercial awareness with risks and opportunities.
• Ability to communicate with technical, commercial and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate project estimates and target costs reflecting scope and risks.
• Prepare estimates for tenders, proposals and project budgets.
• Ensure estimates follow governance and client expectations.
• Build and maintain cost models, benchmarks and pricing data.
• Identify risks and opportunities to support decisions and value.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop cost plans.
• Produce estimate reports and cost analyses for reviews.
• Defend estimates through governance and approvals.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
• Contribute to estimating methodologies, tools and templates.
