Job summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions in Stafford seeks a Valve Converter Electrical Project Delivery Team Manager to lead a sub-team and deliver HVDC tendering and project electrical design activities. The role combines hands-on engineering (50–60%) with leadership (40–50%) and requires on-site presence three days per week.

The successful candidate will manage 5–6 engineers, coordinate design, testing and site pre‑commissioning, and ensure alignment with international standards and GE processes to deliver

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in electrical/electronic engineering.
• Proven experience with high-power power electronic converters (>1 MVA).
• Experience in management of technical issues with clients/contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a sub-team of 5–6 engineers and allocate resources.
• Oversee valve design to size converters and cooling systems for tenders/projects.
• Review and approve test documents and ensure correct on-site pre‑commissioning results.
• Schedule work, define priorities, and manage team KPIs to meet project timelines.
• Mentor and develop team members and foster knowledge sharing.
