Zusammenfassung

GE Grid Solutions is seeking a Lead Commissioning Specialist to drive HVDC system tests at sites worldwide. You will prepare commissioning specifications, develop test procedures, and lead a team of tests engineers while coordinating with system engineering and project validation to ensure adherence to standards.

The role requires extensive site work, strong communication in English, and readiness to travel (about 60% of the time), with focus on quality, safety, and timely reporting.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree with HVDC/power systems and related subjects.
• HV commissioning experience; Site Manager experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 400kV HVDC substations and control/protection.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead HVDC system tests on-site per specification.
• Prepare and revise commissioning test procedures with System Engineering.
• Perform tests on RTDS prior to site commissioning.
• Update test schedules daily/weekly with customer and Site Commissioning Manager.
• Coordinate HV switching and power control with customer.
• Capture test results, log reports and issue daily summaries.
