Job summary

Hussmann is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician Lead to manage a team delivering maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems across supermarkets and retail facilities. You will mentor technicians, quote services, and ensure high safety and quality standards in a dynamic service environment.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive HVAC/R knowledge, and a proactive approach to customer-facing operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HVAC-R certification preferred.
• 7 years field experience or 5 years with HVAC/tech-school certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of service technicians within a defined geographic area to diagnose and repair refrigeration, HVAC, and related systems.
• Develop and maintain excellent customer relations and understand customer systems and processes.
• Assist with job quoting, staffing, estimating, and project costing as directed by the Service Manager.
• Provide ongoing training and mentorship to technicians to support growth and compliance.
• Coordinate technical support and guidance for service technicians and ensure timely communications.
• Identify and resolve system issues, prioritize tasks, and manage field priorities and safety.
