Job summary

Rossendale School requires a dedicated Lead Humanities Teacher to lead History, PSHE, Geography, RE and Psychology, supporting pupils with Autism. You will champion improvements, drive inclusive learning, and report to SLT while managing resources and helping align school values.

A strong leadership backdrop within Humanities is essential. The role sits within Aspris Children’s Services, with safeguarding at the core and a commitment to progression, wellbeing and high-quality outcomes for pupils

Qualifications

QTS or equivalent required.
In-depth knowledge of Humanities subjects.
Experience with pupils with SEN including Autism.
Knowledge of local and national educational policies.
Ability to lead a subject area and inspire colleagues.
Experience leading whole-school initiatives.
Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Provide inspirational leadership in History, PSHE, Geography, RE and Psychology.
Champion continuous improvement across humanities across the school.
Enable engaging, inclusive learning for all pupils to thrive.
Produce regular reports for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
Support SLT in promoting and embedding the school values and ethos.
Effectively manage allocated resources and budgets.
Where needed, provide whole school leadership within areas of responsibility.
