Job summary

Strode Park House in Herne Bay is seeking a hands-on Housekeeping Manager to lead domestic and laundry teams and ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control. You will plan rotas, supervise staff, manage stock and budgets, and cover duties when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and housekeeping leadership roles.
• Ability to understand instructions for safe chemical handling.
• Experience in a care home environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead housekeeping and laundry teams through supervision and rotas.
• Inspect rooms and shared spaces and drive improvements.
• Embed infection-control, health and safety practices.
• Manage stock, equipment, uniforms and budgets.
• Cover housekeeping or laundry duties when required.
• Collaborate with maintenance to report hazards and faulty equipment.
