Job summary

The Primary First Trust is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work closely with Teachers, helping pupils become confident, independent learners who stay focused and engaged.

You will plan, prepare and deliver engaging learning activities, monitor progress and lead the classroom in the Teacher's absence, ensuring consistent learning. You will also help design individualised plans for pupils with SEN, fostering inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills are a must.
• You bring energy, organisation, and self-motivation to everything you do.
• Ability to communicate with children and parents / carers to build good rapport.

Responsibilities

• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging learning activities for whole class and small groups or individuals.
• Monitoring, assessing and recording pupils' progress and development.
• Leading the classroom in the Teacher's absence to maintain consistency.
• Supporting effective classroom management alongside the Class Teacher.
• Designing and delivering individualised plans for pupils with special educational needs.
