Job summary

Penbridge School is hiring a Higher Level Teacher Assistant (HLTA) to support learning across the Infant and Junior Schools. You will deliver lessons to cover PPA time and work alongside class teachers to raise attainment, promoting independence and inclusion.

The successful candidate will have an HLTA qualification (or be working towards it) and experience in KS1 or KS2, with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification desirable or working towards it
• Experience in Key Stage 1 or 2
• Passionate about inclusive education
• Collaborative team player with initiative and independence
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with pupils, staff, parents and professionals
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to cover teacher PPA time and training
• Support learning and attainment by promoting independence, self-esteem, and inclusion
• Assist individual pupils or small groups to access the curriculum
• Contribute to classroom and wider school activities
