Job summary

Spaxton CofE Primary School invites applications for a Teaching Assistant / Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The post is primarily based in Key Stage 2 with some duties in Reception/Key Stage 1, focusing on engaging pupils through 1:1 and small group sessions, and supporting teachers to sustain progress.

Ideal candidates will have TA experience with strong literacy and numeracy, an HLTA qualification (or the ability to cover and lead lessons), and experience across the

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have previous TA experience with a good standard of literacy and numeracy.
• HLTA qualification or the ability to cover lessons and lead classroom teaching.
• Ideally experience across the primary school age-range.
• Commitment to supporting and understanding pupil needs.
• Positive, 'can do' attitude and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers to ensure pupils are engaged and making sustained progress.
• Cover and lead class teaching and direct other adults in supporting learning as required.
• Contribute to planning and preparation of learning activities.
• Deliver 1:1 and small group sessions to promote independence and social inclusion.
• Work with the team to foster a caring, inclusive environment consistent with our ethos.
