Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking a Highways & Drainage Design Engineer to join our team across multiple locations in the UK. The role offers hybrid working with up to 1-2 days per week from home and a starting salary around £40k per year.

You will contribute to complex infrastructure projects while working within a collaborative design team. Ideal candidates will have IEng/CEng progression or Level 6/7 qualifications with relevant experience, strong highways and drainage design skills, and the ability

Qualifications

Holding IEng Initial Professional Development (or CEng equivalent) with ICE or Level 6/7 qualification with relevant experience.
Experience in highways and drainage design solutions.
Ability to manage project responsibilities and lead design teams.

Responsibilities

Lead temporary works design and checking for highways and drainage integrated with permanent works.
Provide tender and bid support including outline designs and feasibility studies.
Conduct technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs for client and Kier requirements.
Manage project delivery including design deliverables, budget and client relationships under supervision.
Undertake site visits, surveys, and inspections to support project teams.
