Job summary

Kier is seeking a Senior Highways and Drainage Engineer to join our team across the UK. You’ll contribute to temporary works design and management, review designs, and support bid and construction activities, across a varied portfolio.

The role offers agile/hybrid working with up to 1-2 days from home and 40-hour weeks, with projects across major infrastructure schemes. You should have strong practical design sense, buildability and safety awareness, and be keen to advance toward Chartered

Responsibilities

• Producing, checking and reviewing design outputs such as calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with CDM, SHE, EA procedures and QA processes
• Acting as Project Lead for multiple projects, managing technical scope, programme, budget and relationships with preconstruction and construction teams, from bid through to delivery
• Developing yourself, other individuals and the wider team, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and systems, enabling the business to adapt to current and future challenges
