Job summary

Carrington West in Hucknall is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead highways and civil engineering schemes. You will oversee delivery teams, manage client relationships and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to high standards across multiple schemes in the region.

The permanent, full‑time role offers 40 hours per week, a salary up to £75,000 per year (dependent on experience) and a £6,000 car allowance.

Qualifications

Experience as Contract Manager in highways/civil engineering.
HNC or HND in Civil Engineering.
CSCS Manager Card.
SMSTS certification.
Full UK driving licence.
NRSWA accreditation advantageous.

Responsibilities

Leading and overseeing highways and civil engineering schemes, ensuring safe and efficient delivery.
Managing and supporting Project Managers, Construction Managers and site teams to achieve project objectives.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements across all works.
Preparing and reviewing construction phase plans and essential project documentation.
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
Reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
