Job summary

Environment Agency in England is seeking a Team Leader to head a new high-hazard regulatory team responsible for COMAH and Oil Refinery oversight. You will lead, develop and coach staff, deliver robust inspections, audits and incident investigations, and ensure compliance across sites while maintaining health, safety and wellbeing.

The role requires the ability to work across the organisation, travel between sites, and adapt plans to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Understanding of COMAH and/or Oil Refinery regulation or relevant sector experience.
• Strong leadership demonstrated by managing teams to achieve objectives.
• Proven knowledge of Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
• Ability to coach and mentor others and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead a newly formed team to deliver robust inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Develop delivery plans, manage risks, and provide assurance to the Regulatory Manager.
• Collaborate across the organisation with site operators and colleagues nationwide.
• Balance workload to maximise environmental benefits while meeting deadlines.
