Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor for a late shift in Kidderminster. The role combines hands-on HGV repair with supervisory duties to drive performance, safety, and high service standards in a busy workshop.

The successful candidate will lead technicians, perform and oversee repairs, and maintain documentation in line with company policies. Strong leadership, relevant qualifications, and a full UK driving licence are required for this position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3/City & Guilds/IMI in HGV repair and maintenance.
• Proven experience repairing and maintaining heavy goods vehicles.
• Strong leadership and clear communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence relevant to vehicle classes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of technicians on HGV, trailers and other commercial vehicles.
• Oversee major and minor repairs, including preventive maintenance.
• Ensure workshop standards, inventory, cleanliness and health and safety compliance.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections and identify faults per DVSA standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, servicing and warranty claims.
• Assist technicians with diagnostics and repair planning.
• Provide emergency repair services when required.
• Ensure documentation is completed and submitted per company policies.
