Job summary

Tru Talent seeks a Technician Supervisor / Workshop Supervisor to lead the late-shift workshop team in Kidderminster. You will balance hands-on maintenance with supervision and support for technicians and apprentices.

The role focuses on diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles, while maintaining safety and quality standards in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Leadership or supervisory experience (desirable).
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the late-shift workshop team.
• Allocating work alongside the Workshop Controller.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Ensuring work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Supporting and mentoring technicians and apprentices.
• Completing workshop documentation using Keyloop/Kerridge.
• Maintaining a safe, efficient and organised workshop.
