Job summary

Tru talent in Gloucester is seeking an experienced HGV Foreman/Workshop Foreman to lead a busy commercial vehicle workshop. You will be hands-on, overseeing servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while guiding the late shift team and maintaining high workmanship standards.

The role offers ongoing development, potential progression into workshop leadership, a permanent contract, and a competitive salary with overtime earnings. You will need leadership skills and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience as an HGV Foreman, Workshop Foreman, HGV Workshop Supervisor, Senior HGV Technician, or experienced HGV Technician.
• Excellent diagnostic and fault finding skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support a workshop team.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Lead, support, and motivate the workshop team throughout the late shift.
• Provide technical guidance and assist technicians with complex fault finding.
• Ensure all repairs are completed to manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Monitor workshop productivity and maintain high quality workmanship.
• Ensure job cards, service records, and workshop documentation are completed accurately.
• Promote high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
• Support the training and development of technicians.
