Job summary

RH Recruiting Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor to join the busy Widnes workshop on a permanent basis. You will oversee daily workshop operations, lead a team of mechanics/technicians and ensure work is performed safely and to high standards.

The role offers a 4-day working week (Mon-Thu), hours 6:00am–4:30pm, and pay up to £21.20 per hour. Opportunities for training, development and career progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous HGV workshop supervisory or team leader experience.
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Focus on quality, safety and getting the job done right.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
• A proactive approach and interest in developing others.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of HGV mechanics/technicians.
• Planning and allocating daily workload across the workshop.
• Delegating jobs based on skills, experience and workload.
• Monitoring progress and meeting timescales.
• Carrying out quality checks to meet standards.
• Providing technical support to technicians when required.
• Supporting apprentice training and development.
