Job summary

Hirecracker is recruiting an experienced HGV Workshop Supervisor in Berkshire to lead the workshop team while remaining hands-on with servicing, maintenance and repairs.

You will supervise Technicians and Apprentices, allocate workloads, coordinate handovers, manage defects and support parts stock and records. The role requires LGV Class 2 licence, tachograph knowledge, and a strong focus on health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day supervision of the workshop team while hands-on with servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Allocate daily workloads to HGV Technicians and Apprentices and coordinate handovers with depots.
• Ensure service sheets and job cards are completed and signed off correctly.
• Manage open defects, support VOR reporting, assist with parts ordering and stock control.
• Provide technical guidance to the team and maintain high Health & Safety standards.
