Job summary

Osprey Shipping Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering solutions for complex heavy lift and transportation projects. You will oversee on-site lifting, marine transport and load-in activities, mentoring junior engineers and delivering high-quality documentation.

The role reports to the Technical Director and entails client liaison, site visits and governance across the full lifecycle of projects.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline (Masters preferred).
• Experience delivering complex heavy lift projects across transportation, lifting, installing or marine scopes.
• Strong ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft tools; MathCAD desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of technical codes, standards and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of engineering solutions across heavy lift, transportation, installation and marine operations.
• Own complex deliverables: drawings, calculations, visualisations, methodologies and risk assessments.
• Drive on-site and in-office delivery, ensuring safe, efficient execution and client satisfaction.
• Oversee and mentor project and graduate engineers, ensuring growth and quality.
• Act as technical interface for clients and site teams, leading meetings and site visits.
• Develop and approve engineering methodologies for lifting and transport challenges.
• Enforce governance and robust document control across the project lifecycle.
