Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a dynamic Health Visitor or School Nurse to lead the Kincardine and Mearns Health Visiting and School Nursing team. The role focuses on high-quality, family-centred care and improving outcomes for children and families within the locality.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership, support staff development, and drive service improvements in a forward-thinking, equity-driven environment. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of GIRFEC, UNCRC and the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.
• Proven leadership in community nursing or public health.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight.
• Support staff development and service improvement.
• Implement Health Visiting Action Plan 2025–2035 and the 10 Priority Pathways for School Nursing.
• Promote integrated, trauma-informed, and child-centred care.
