Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Head Chef in Northallerton, DL7 9NJ. You will lead a professional kitchen, drive high standards, and develop a talented team to deliver outstanding food and hospitality services. The role requires strong leadership, culinary excellence, and a commitment to safety and compliance.

Hours are 40 per week across five days with some weekends; shifts range from early to late. Benefits include on-site parking, uniform and footwear, pension, life assurance, and extensive training

Qualifications

• A recognised culinary qualification (NVQ Level 1, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent).
• Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or higher).
• Proven leadership and people management skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading the preparation and service of meals with high standards and minimal waste.
• Delivering formal dining and hospitality services for functions and events.
• Training, developing and supporting your kitchen team with clear procedures.
• Maintaining food quality through recipe compliance and production control.
• Managing stock levels, placing orders and keeping kitchen documentation.
• Upholding food safety, allergen management and temperature controls.
