Aramark UK are recruiting a Head Chef in Northallerton, DL7 9NJ, to lead a professional kitchen operation, drive high standards, develop a talented team, and deliver exceptional food and hospitality services.

As Head Chef, you will manage a busy kitchen, mentor staff, ensure compliance with food safety, stock control, and procedural standards while delivering outstanding meals for functions and daily service.

Qualifications

• Recognised culinary qualifications (NVQ L1/2 or equivalent) and Level 3 Food Safety.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Strong organisational and operational management capability.
• Calm and professional approach in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and service of meals, ensuring high standards and minimal waste.
• Deliver formal dining and hospitality services for functions, events and distinguished visitors.
• Train and develop the kitchen team with clear procedures and standards.
• Maintain food quality through recipe compliance and effective production control.
• Manage stock levels, orders, and kitchen documentation per contractual requirements.
• Uphold food safety, hygiene, allergen controls, and temperature monitoring.
