Loungers is hiring a Head Chef for Visto Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll own the kitchen, lead a hands-on team, and drive cooking standards with clear development plans. The role offers a permanent full-time 48-hour contract (40-hour option) with overtime and a share of bonus opportunities.

You’ll manage menu specs, improve wait times, and collaborate across front-of-house to create a true one-team culture while delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Competenze

• Experience as Head Chef, Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef for progression to a senior leadership role.
• Hands-on leadership with ability to develop and coach kitchen teams.
• Strong understanding of menu specs, food quality, and kitchen processes.

Mansioni

• Take full ownership of the kitchen at Visto Lounge—leading every shift from open to close.
• Recruit, develop and coach the kitchen team across all levels with clear development plans.
• Ensure menu specs and kitchen processes are followed and dishes leave the pass correctly.
• Own site-level action plan with the General Manager covering wait times, standards, stock and cleaning.
• Deliver on KPIs: quality, wait times, wastage, food safety and GP, reporting after each shift.
• Schedule fair rotas aligned with sales and bookings forecasts for optimal coverage.
• Collaborate with front of house to build a one-team culture with cross-training.
