Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking a Site Supervisor for groundworks and civils/drainage projects in Taunton and surrounding areas. You will oversee multiple drainage and civil sites, ensuring safety, quality and programme adherence.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will coordinate subcontractors, supervise site activities and monitor costs and progress. A hands-on approach with plant experience and a current SSSTS/SMSTS and CSCS card is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising groundworks or civils projects.
• Experience on drainage, foundations, earthworks or external works.
• Current SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS card in construction.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to drive transit tipper.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple groundworks and civil sites with safe systems of work.
• Coordinate subcontractors and their foremen across projects.
• Review RAMS, conduct inductions, toolbox talks and site inspections.
• Monitor progress, budget and programme, and manage site issues.
• Operate excavators and dumpers when required on site.
