Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee civil engineering works from A30 Lee Mill to Ivybridge on a 12-month contract. You will manage day-to-day site operations, lead operatives and subcontractors, and ensure drainage installations meet safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, health and safety expertise, and the ability to coordinate risk assessments, method statements, and project documentation across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• CSCS Gold Card is essential.
• SSSTS and SMSTS certifications preferred.
• First Aid certificate required.
• Experience supervising civil engineering or drainage projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors on civil works.
• Ensure drainage systems (pipes, manholes, culverts, attenuation tanks) are installed safely and correctly.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Monitor site progress and report to senior management.
• Manage site documentation including RAMS, permits and daily records.
• Identify and resolve site issues to avoid delays.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders to meet requirements.

Site Supervisor - Highways

Location: A30 Lee Mill to Ivybridge

Contract Type: 12-month contract

Working Hours: Day shifts

Pay: £300-£400 per day (DOE)

Summary

We are seeking a competent and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee civil engineering works on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills to coordinate site operatives and subcontractors, maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, and ensure the successful delivery of drainage systems including pipes, manholes, culverts, and attenuation tanks. The Site Supervisor will also be responsible for site documentation, risk assessments, method statements, and liaising with project stakeholders to maintain smooth project progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors during civil engineering works
