Job summary

Evan Craig, a busy SME geotechnical engineering consultancy, is seeking a Principal or Associate Geotechnical Engineer to lead and mentor a talented team in Watford. The role covers design of piled foundations, ground investigations, and reporting across the full ground engineering cycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' background in geotechnical consultancy or contractor-side design.
• Proven track record managing teams and projects from inception to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness and practical site background.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor a geotechnical team across projects.
• Oversee end-to-end ground engineering work from desk studies to design.
• Plan ground investigations and interpret GI data for design.
• Prepare GIRs, GDRs, BIAs, GMAs and reports; ensure on-time delivery.
